“Tea is certainly as much of a social drink as coffee, and more domestic, for the reason that the teacup hours are the family hours.” – Arthur Gray
You might be wondering what the story behind my name is…Why do I have all these tea references? Is it because this is going to develop into a blog about tea? Or perhaps I just really love it?
Well, the truth is that, yes, I do love tea. However, for me it goes beyond a drink to wake me up (like coffee is for most people) or something to quench my thirst with. Rather, it is something that is greatly tied to my culture, which in the long run has become an essential that helps me relax and always accompanies my dessert.
When deciding on a name for this blog, I didn’t want to simply write my name. On the other hand, there are thousands of baking blogs, so mine had to somehow stand out and still be me. Thus, this is how my blog name developed into ”A Cup of Tea with Zi”. This is a personal journey that I am opening up to the world, so I want people to join me and connect with me. In my culture, tea is a must any time you have guests, family gatherings, and special occasions. In this way, I am welcoming you, my readers, to have a cup of tea with me and watch me delve in the baking world 🙂
