Easy Nutella Banana Bread

Good evening!

If you’re looking for a banana bread recipe with a twist, you’re on the right page. While I have made banana muffins before, this was my first attempt at banana bread. I was initially nervous about the final taste, as the original recipe required 1 ¼ cup of mashed bananas, whereas I only had 1 banana. Nevertheless, it turned out lovely!

Nutella Banana Bread

  • 2 cups flour24169383_10156074505359575_271568149_o.jpg
  • ¾ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup (60 gr.) butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 mashed, ripe banana
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla (I used Dr. Oetker vanilla powder)
  • 1⁄3 cup milk
  • ¾ cup Nutella (approx. 6 full teaspoons)

You can check my Instagram for a video tutorial for this recipe.

The cake/bread in itself necessitates 1 hour to bake, but the preparation will consume no more than 10 minutes. First grab one bowl and sift your flour, soda, and salt. Then, in a larger bowl, use an electric mixer to beat your softened butter and sugar. Add your eggs one by one and mash one ripe banana. Mix in your banana, vanilla, and milk. Then place your Nutella in a microwave for 15-20 seconds and mix with a spoon or spatula so it is even. Fold a cup of your banana batter into the Nutella. Lastly, add your Nutella and banana batter into a loaf pan lined with parchment paper, alternating between them. I used a fork to create a swirl effect, but when my cake came out, the swirl was hardly visible 😀 Bake for 50-60 minutes at 175°C/350°F. Allow to cool for 15 minutes before removing from the pan.

As you can see, the recipe in itself is very straightforward. This banana bread smells delicious and fills your entire house with its aroma! It is great as a breakfast or tea cake, as it is sweet and filling. Definitely give it a try 🙂

Until next time!
